Description

Judge William Lewis originally built the residence around 1783 as a modest Federal-style farmhouse, before the Hemphill family and later owners expanded it in the 19th century. Set on a scenic bluff overlooking the East Park Reservoir, the museum displays collections of porcelain, silver, and items from the neighboring 1876 Centennial Exhibition, alongside regular tours, educational programs, and community events.
