The preserved Classical Revival mansion of Atlanta’s first Black millionaire, complete with original furnishings.
Description

Set in Vine City near the Atlanta University Center, the residence was commissioned by Alonzo Herndon—who rose from slavery and founded the Atlanta Life Insurance Company—and designed largely by his wife Adrienne alongside architect Arthur F. Hanson. Inside, exquisite woodwork and personal artifacts trace the family's life, documenting early 20th-century African American affluence in Atlanta.
