Hillside Natural Area
4.7 (277)park
Quiet trails wind through 107 acres of oak woodland, opening onto sweeping views across San Francisco Bay.
Description

As El Cerrito’s largest municipal open space, the park surrounds an old quarry, sheltering riparian environments, grasslands, and native coastal scrub. Path networks serve as both recreational walking routes and emergency access across the urban forest. From passive recreation areas along the slopes, sightlines stretch to Mount Tamalpais, the Golden Gate Bridge, and the Oakland and San Francisco skylines.
