Herman Street studios
5.0 (2)gallery
Set in a 1928 Germantown brick mill, this creative hub gathers Philadelphia artists, makers, and woodworkers.
Description

Brothers John and Michael Fiorella purchased the site in 1995 to house Fiorella Woodworking, crafting custom moldings, doors, and historic architectural millwork for clients including the University of Pennsylvania. With surplus room beside their shop, they established a first workspace in 1996 and spent a decade expanding studios for artists, makers, and craftspeople. Working here long-term is typical across the building, fostering a durable, supportive community diverse in craft and scope.
