Russian immigrant Helen Denisevich opened the restaurant in the 1930s at this original location, doing the cooking while her husband, Paul, took care of the serving. Three generations of the Denisevich family have carried the space forward, branching out into innovative diverse dishes and pouring Bad Ass Coffee.
