Hear The Symphony Outdoors Under A White Bay Shell
Outdoor symphony nights fill The Rady Shell, a bayfront stage on San Diego Bay that opened in 2021.
🎻 Music by the bay
The Rady Shell at Jacobs Park is the San Diego Symphony's outdoor home, a white canopy that opened in 2021 on the downtown bayfront. The orchestra plays a full summer season here, and touring acts and film scores take the stage the rest of the year.
Seating steps down from covered terraces to an open lawn, and the shell frames the skyline and harbor lights behind the players while the bay water carries the sound. Food and drink stands line the park paths.
Gates open early for picnics on the grass, and the venue sits within walking distance of the Convention Center and the Gaslamp Quarter. Ticket prices climb for reserved seats and drop for lawn spots farther back.
