Hazy IPAs and Wild Sours from a Brooklyn Brewery

Sip inventive IPAs and wild sours at an East Williamsburg brewery named New York brewer of the year.

Try a wild sour at Grimm Artisanal Ales.

🍺 Beyond the Usual Pour

Grimm built its name on refusing to sit still. The East Williamsburg brewery has taken New York State Brewery of the Year five times, blending old brewing methods with modern research to chase flavors that wander past the usual IPA. The draft list runs from inventive hazy ales and wild sours into stouts, barleywines, Physica wines, and even margarita leaning beers and Hot Toddies.

The taproom matches the range. Steel fermentation tanks anchor a bright industrial room, with beer hall tables and bar seating built for groups or a slow afternoon watching a match. Reviewers hold it at 4.7 across more than seven hundred visits. A rooftop terrace opens the space up further, and fresh pizza keeps the sessions honest. Pour a hazy one, grab a high top, and work your way down the board.
