Hawk Hollow Garden
4.6 (10)park
Woodland trails, a butterfly garden, and a Hobbit House hide along Sugar Creek in this native plant sanctuary.
Description

Set across a floodplain in the Ocmulgee watershed, this Wylde Center greenspace operates as an ongoing restoration project centered on invasive plant management and reintroducing native species. New plantings arrive every year, though certain established non-natives are intentionally left standing so wildlife isn't abruptly displaced during the transition. The resulting streamside pocket sustains a dense microecosystem, sheltering owls, frogs, birds, and a resident family of turtles.
