Description

In 1995, a small group of neighbors began clearing a city-owned lot on Hart Street that had sat vacant and derelict for decades. What was once a pile of rubble is now tended by over 40 members of diverse backgrounds who cultivate flowers alongside crops. The space utilizes rainwater harvesting to keep the garden self-sustaining, maintaining the independent spirit that first reclaimed the land.
