Description

The center's holdings extend across manuscripts, photography, film, art, and theatre history, with one of only 20 complete copies of the Gutenberg Bible and the 1827 Niépce heliograph on view. The Niépce heliograph will not be on view from 15 April through early July 2027. Public visits center around special exhibitions that assemble hundreds of artifacts around specific creative careers and cultural milestones. With presentation oriented toward deep dives, the space is best for visitors with specific research or exhibit interests.
