Description

Engineered over a historic tidal marsh, the water is framed by oak, bald cypress, beech, and ginkgo trees, giving way to open lawns for picnicking and sunbathing. A three-quarter-mile perimeter path loops around the water for runners and dogs, with off-leash hours before 9 am and after 9 pm. Ducks and geese frequent the shore alongside visitors, while the immediate bank links to two playgrounds, the Davis Center, and the Charles A. Dana Discovery Center.
