🍗 The November Guest Chef

🌍 A Cameroonian Menu in Harlem

The Guest Chef Series hands the Harlem kitchen to one visiting chef a month for a single weekend. November belongs to Andy Allo, whose cooking comes out of a Cameroonian upbringing and a run of staging in Michelin-starred kitchens, by her own account. She cooks beside founder Charles Gabriel and executive chef Quie, the two culinary leads behind the pan-fried chicken who run this kitchen. The November dishes are still listed as to be announced, with nothing published for these three days yet.

🎤 From Prince Tours to the Pass

Before the kitchen she worked as an actor and a musician, with roles on Upload and Chicago Fire and a turn as a guitarist and singer in Prince's New Power Generation. She competed on Season 5 of Next Level Chef. Her Akone project in Los Angeles is built on a fine-dining take on Cameroonian food, and the first pop-up she cooked there sold out.

🚇 Walk In, Order, Take the A

No reservations and no tickets. You walk in, order at the counter, and the featured plates are cooked in limited quantities until they run out. While featured dishes in past guest chef series runs were priced at 25 dollars, pricing for Andy Allo's dishes remains to be announced alongside the menu. Everything except alcohol can leave as takeout. Friday runs 5 to 9 PM, Saturday 3 to 9 PM, and Sunday, November 15, 3 to 8 PM (the venue site lists general Sunday hours from noon to 8 PM, so an arrival between 3 and 8 PM sits inside both). The A and D stop at 145 Street one block away, with C most hours and B on weekdays.
