Hanson's Shoe Repair

Set on East Pine Street, the bar occupies what is considered the oldest building still standing in downtown Orlando, constructed in 1883–1884. Andrew Hanson took over the nineteenth-century commercial structure in 1894 for his trade, later outfitting it with Orlando’s first electric sign. Inside, the intimate room keeps to a tight layout of bar stools and seating lined along the walls. Up top, the covered rooftop terrace offers an open-air alternative, though visitors note the space absorbs summer heat.
