The oldest wooden aircraft hangar in its original location, now restored as an airy event space at Brooks.
Description
Designed in 1918 by industrial architect Albert Kahn, the hangar sits on the grounds of the former Brooks Air Force Base. A multi-million dollar renovation reshaped the 8,700-square-foot space, which can accommodate up to 580 people across a range of gatherings. The building is designated as a San Antonio Historic Landmark and listed in both the Texas State Historical Survey and the National Register of Historic Places.
