Hanauma Bay Ridge Trail

Hikers can choose between sticking to the paved road for an out-and-back walk, exploring the rocky loop paths with loose stones winding near the ridge-top radio towers, or heading out to a cliffside lookout.

Elevated viewpoints take in sights across the Kaiwi Channel toward Hawaii Kai, Diamond Head, and the distant islands of Molokai and Lanai. With zero shade along the entire path and occasional wind, the route remains completely exposed to the elements while tracking the clear blue waters and curved contour of the bay below.
