Halloween Cocktails Among Custom Sea Monsters in Boerum Hill, Through Nov 1
Designer-built sea monsters, three new drinks and 4 AM closing on Halloween weekend, all inside Someday Bar on Atlantic Avenue.
🦇 Runs Through Sunday, Nov 1
🐙 What the Room Looks Like
Black Lagoon, the traveling Halloween pop-up that began in Toronto in 2021, has turned Someday Bar into an underwater haunted seabed for 2026. Designer Kasira Hill filled the room with custom sea monsters, including an octo-witch named Abyssa, under cinematic lighting and unsettling sound effects. Servers dress in black, and drinks come out in odd themed glassware with theatrical garnishes.
🍹 Three Drinks to Start With
Abyssa's Obsession is the tiki pick, pumpkin-infused rum with sherry, coconut and pineapple. Bone Temple is a margarita riff with tart cherry and a touch of absinthe. Moon Shadow turns the espresso martini darker with banana liqueur and cold brew. Friends skipping alcohol get their own non-alcoholic section.
🧛 Halloween Weekend Plan
Someday is open Friday from 3 PM to 4 AM and Saturday from noon to 4 AM, and Halloween night runs until 4 AM Sunday. Fridays and Saturdays are the busiest nights. Book a table through Someday's website or arrive early, though walk-ins are accepted. Drinks are served to guests 21 and over, and staff may check a photo ID. No ticket or cover charge has been announced, and drinks are paid as you order. Grand Army, The Brooklyn Inn and Clover Club sit within a few blocks for a drink before or after.
