Halloween at the Garden

This afternoon event transforms the botanical grounds into a seasonal space for families, anchored by a trick-or-treat trail and local vendor fair. Guests move through an itinerary that mixes standard festival fare—like costume-clad photo opportunities, face painting, and magic shows—with botanical-specific offerings including spooky-plant interpretation and harvest ciders. The programming incorporates storytelling sessions, notably featuring Griot Darlene Deloris for the AnkhLave Anansi’s Wisdom of the World Tour. Between active crafts and candy stations, the garden provides a backdrop of fall foliage for an afternoon that balances interactive performance and quiet walks.
