Guacamole and Three Beers Included on a Chicago Brewery Walk

A 90-minute Chicago beer walk: guacamole and a three-pour flight at Goose Island, then a pour-your-own brewery hall.

This is a short beer walk with a snack built in. It starts at Goose Island's Fulton Street taproom, where Chef Carla brings homemade guacamole and corn tortilla chips and each traveler gets a flight of three tasting pours, three to five ounces each.

The included beer is that flight, fifteen ounces in total; anything you order after it is on you. From there the group walks to District Brew Yards, where four breweries share one pour-your-own hall, and the listing says you can stay as long as you like once the tour ends there.

Tickets are per person and the booking only sells adult tickets, with the age band running from 21 up. One booking takes up to fifteen travelers, and the listing caps a shared session at twenty. Guiding is listed in English and Spanish.

The First Hour Is at Goose Island's Taproom

The meeting point is Goose Island's Fulton Street taproom at 1800 W Fulton St, and the listing says the group meets outside or inside. This is where the included part happens: introductions, Carla's guacamole and chips, and the three-pour flight, with about an hour on the itinerary.

Departures run Wednesday through Sunday, and Goose Island's own page lists the taproom as closed Mondays and Tuesdays. As of November 5, 2026, that page also lists the taproom as closed on Saturday, November 7, a date the booking calendar still sells. If that is your date, check with the operator before you go.

Then Four Breweries Under One Roof

The second stop is District Brew Yards at 417 N Ashland Ave, which bills itself as the nation's first collective brewery and pour-your-own beer hall. Its site lists four breweries in the building: Casa Humilde Cervecería, Burnt City Brewing, Twisted Hippo and Around the Bend Beer Co.

The itinerary gives this stop about thirty minutes and mentions a check-in before the taps. Beers here are ordered and poured by you, outside the included flight. The listing says you can stay on after the tour wraps.

A Guide Who Talks Beer and the Neighborhood

The operator is listed as Ronaldo, and the handful of traveler reviews keep returning to two things: the guacamole and the beer talk. One traveler wrote in August 2025, "Great chips and guacamole. He sure knew a lot about beer. Also had good hints about what to see in Chicago." Another, in December 2025, called it a great start for getting to know the West Loop.

Ages, Tips and Cancellation

  • Every traveler has to be 21 or older; the listing sells adult tickets only.
  • Gratuities are not included.
  • The listing marks the tour as not recommended for pregnant travelers.
  • The operator can cancel for bad weather or for too few travelers.
  • Cancel at least 24 hours before departure for a full refund.

Cancelling inside 24 hours of the start time means no refund.

🍺 Meet at Goose Island Taproom, 1800 W Fulton St, Chicago, outside or inside the taproom. The walk ends at District Brew Yards, 417 N Ashland Ave, and the listing says all the stops are within walking distance. District Brew Yards does not allow outside food, so the guacamole stays at the first stop.

Departures are Wednesday and Thursday at 2:00 PM or 3:00 PM, Friday at 12:00 PM or 2:00 PM, and Saturday and Sunday at 12:00 PM. Finish the flight, then pick your next pour from four breweries' taps.
