Once a rock quarry, this historic park pairs peaceful trails and mangrove waterways with a Depression-era stone fortress.
Description

Spanning 249 acres across varied habitats, the county-designated historic site opened in 1936 as an early cornerstone of the local park system. The grounds include a 9-hole golf course, shaded picnic areas, and a playground beside grassy hills for kids to climb and roll down. An internal route lets visitors drive through the entire park without leaving their car, while East Greynolds Park—just down the road—adds a fishing dock, canoe and kayak launch, and bark park.
