Greenway Botanical Garden at the Naval Cemetery

Built on the site of a former Naval Hospital Cemetery, this accredited botanical garden is a small, shaded sanctuary tucked between the BQE and the Navy Yard. A complete walk around takes only two to four minutes. There are no playgrounds, dogs, or bikes allowed; the focus is on research, community events, and quiet sitting. Along the path, benches hold communal journals tucked inside for visitors to read and write random entries while watching the local bees and butterflies.
