GreenHouse Garden
4.7 (19)park
Garden workdays: 1 Sunday per month at 10am-12pm from May – October
A fence-free neighborhood sanctuary in West Town, planted with fruit trees, towering prairie grasses, and grapevines.
Description

Established in 1992 on a former car repair lot, the space evolved through neighborhood effort into a mix of individual plots for local families alongside shared public areas. Beds of vegetables, herbs, flowers, and fruit bushes fill the grounds, offering a peaceful setting where visitors can pick fresh cherries, spot yellow finches, or sit down for lunch. Protected by NeighborSpace since 1998, the garden remains open to anyone wishing to enjoy its refuge.
