Description

Established in 1937 under the New Deal's Resettlement Administration, Greenbelt was built as a cooperative planned town. The museum's primary site is a historic home restored with 1930s and 1940s artifacts that document the everyday routines of its earliest residents. Programming expands beyond the house through rotating exhibits, lectures, and guided walking tours highlighting local architecture and African American history.
