Grease Sing-Along Takes Over a 1939 Flatbush Movie House

A Flatbush nonprofit turns one Friday movie night into a costume party, and every ticket brings you back for another film.

🎤 Grease Night on Coney Island Avenue

Flatbush Development Corporation brings a sing-along screening of Grease to the Kent Theater on Friday, October 16, with doors at 7:30 PM.

Ticket sales back the nonprofit's work with local youth, affordable housing and neighborhood small businesses.

Miss Fellatia hosts, and a costume contest with goodies and prizes shares the bill with free popcorn and inexpensive drinks.

The Kent opened in 1939, and the theater scenes in Woody Allen's The Purple Rose of Cairo were filmed here.

My tip for first-timers is to hold on to the bonus. Each purchase comes with a free ticket to a future Kent showing of your choice.
