Description

Tracing the crescent shape of the riverbank from 34th to Wharton Street, the park opened long-awaited river access for South Philadelphia by reclaiming a century-old industrial chemical site. More than 6,000 feet of combined bicycle and walking routes loop past open lawns designed for picnicking and unstructured play, with riverfront plazas framing quiet views over the water. While the setting is peaceful once on the path, visitors note that parking and access can be tricky to navigate.
