Positioned along the George Washington Memorial Parkway right beside the airfield, the grounds are a prime viewing spot for aviation enthusiasts and families. The open lawn gives visitors space to picnic and watch commercial airliners take off and land at close range. Beyond the runway views, the park provides direct access to the Mount Vernon Trail for walking and cycling, along with a boat launch onto the river.
