Description
Neighborhood residents established the garden on a private vacant lot at the south end of Grant Street in May 2011, clearing away invasive kudzu and Johnson grass to build terraced beds, water tanks, composting areas, and trails. The cultivated ground is split evenly between household plots and Plant-A-Row beds where members work together, running on exclusively organic fertilizers and pesticides.
