$65.00 – $150.00
Set in a converted army barrack, this Central Park hub has hosted Garland’s hoops, fitness, and gatherings since 1961.
Description

Standing in Central Park—a designated Lone Star Legacy Park—the facility was established as Garland’s first community center through improvements funded by the Garland Jaycees in 1961. The recreation building and its annex were formally dedicated in 1971 in honor of Fred Picora Granger, a U.S. Air Force veteran, city council member, and avid park advocate. Today, the hub continues to serve the surrounding neighborhood, frequently hosting basketball tournaments alongside local community activities.
