Description

Grace Episcopal Church was founded in 1702 and is the second-oldest Episcopal church in New York State. The present American Gothic building opened in September 1862, replacing an 1822 structure built with support from Rufus King and destroyed by fire. Rufus King, Mary Alsop King and John Alsop King are buried in the churchyard behind the church, a short walk east of King Manor on Jamaica Avenue.
