Description

Saved from development in the 1960s and late 1990s by local citizen advocates, the ground now shelters native plants, birds, and amphibians. Decades of human disturbance—including artificial ponds and deposited fill—are being addressed through ongoing habitat restoration led by the city and the Lake Forest Park Stewardship Foundation. Along the route, an observation platform offers a steady vantage point to watch the wetland shift and develop across the seasons.
