Gotham Park

A grassroots nonprofit working with city agencies transformed forgotten space on the Manhattan side of the bridge into a clean public plaza. Planters and modern seating layouts line the walking paths, creating a scenic break within easy reach of Chinatown and the Financial District.

The grounds host everything from casual lunch breaks to community events, welcoming both families and leashed dogs. Lit after sunset, the project continues to evolve, with planned expansions set to bring additional green space and recreation areas to the site.
