4.8 (55)attraction
An eco-friendly canyon gateway featuring exhibits and access to miles of scenic trails through rugged chaparral.
Description

Constructed beside the original ranch house lost in the 2003 Cedar Fire, the center pairs its exhibit areas with a multi-purpose demonstration room and low-impact energy systems. Outside, the grounds cater to trail users with an outdoor amphitheater, picnic tables, and a horse trough and hitching post. The surrounding 2,272-acre Sycamore Canyon Preserve encompasses oak woodlands, grasslands, and riparian pockets, serving as a launchpad for more than 10 miles of trails leading to canyon vistas, wildlife, and centuries-old traces of human use.
