🐸 What the Shop Makes

Jim Henson's Creature Shop is the workshop where Henson puppets and walk-around characters are designed and built, with stars from Fraggle Rock, The Muppet Show, Sesame Street and Emmet Otter's Jug-Band Christmas among its work. New York City has been the workshop's home from the start, and its current Long Island City space now opens to the public for 80 minute guided visits. Tickets start at 150 dollars plus taxes and fees.

🎭 Inside the Workshop

The visit includes a walk-through of the shop, photo opportunities with classic characters, a live puppetry demonstration from a Henson puppeteer, and a meet and greet with one of the shop's puppet builders, plus a few surprises. Expect fabric racks, drawers of puppet eyes and noses, and characters in progress on the worktables, with exclusive merchandise sold only at the shop.
