Glide An Indoor Canal Beneath A Painted Vegas Sky
Singing gondoliers pole traditional boats along an indoor Venetian canal and an outdoor Strip lagoon at this Las Vegas resort.
🚤 The canal ride
The Grand Canal at The Venetian runs traditional gondolas along an indoor waterway threaded through the Grand Canal Shoppes, each boat poled by a gondolier who sings across the water. The channel curves under low stone footbridges and past Italian-style facades, lit by wrought-iron lamps, with a vaulted ceiling painted to mimic a soft daytime sky.
Two routes share the same dock. The indoor loop drifts past cafes and storefronts inside the mall, while the outdoor route slips onto the resort lagoon with open views of the Las Vegas Strip. Each gondola carries a small group, and boarding runs on a first-come basis through most of the day.
The serenade moves between Italian standards and lighter banter, and the cruise itself stays brief, a pace many riders offset by watching the boats from the quay afterward. The attraction holds a 4.4 rating across more than 5,000 visitor reviews, set inside the resort at 3355 South Las Vegas Boulevard.
