Description

Managed by The Land Trust for Tennessee, the Franklin Pike property was gifted in 2006 by Susan M. West, a descendant of Nashville settler Thomas Thompson. The preserved grounds are anchored by a pre-Civil War Greek Revival home built in 1857 and historic outbuildings, alongside a community garden and an arboretum sheltering more than 25 tree species. Plantings of 1837 heirloom daffodils bloom across the site, sharing the open land with resident donkeys Figaro and Chaplin.
