Glen Canyon Park
4.7 (1,630)park
A rugged canyon hidden in the city, where quiet hiking trails wind between forested slopes and native rock outcroppings.
Description

Designated one of the city's Significant Natural Resource Areas, the 66-acre park shelters native wildflowers and lichen-covered trees, carrying a layered past that spans from Adolph Sutro’s ranch and a mini-amusement site to an earthquake refugee camp. The landscape balances this wild pocket with neighborhood utility, linking mostly flat walking trails with periodic stairs directly to a recreation center, ball fields, and tennis courts.
