Ghost Stories — tour at The Metropolitan Museum of Art

This guided tour weaves through Egyptian, American, and European galleries to examine frightening and macabre works, from funerary masks and mourning pendants to mummified animals and reported ghostly happenings. Rather than a standard lecture, the format invites discussion and features exercises where participants create backstories for selected pieces of art.
