Description
This Broadway theater opened in 1913 as the Plymouth Theatre, designed by Herbert J. Krapp for the Shubert brothers. In 2005, it was renamed to honor the long-time chairman of the Shubert Organization. Inside, Adamsesque detailing gives the space an antique, ornate feel, while the multi-level layout is intimate and cozy. With about 1,079 seats, sightlines are excellent from almost every angle, though visitors note the seating can feel small and tight. Children under four are not admitted.
