Description

Stretching from 31st Street NW to the Key Bridge, the park links 225 miles of parkland reaching from Cumberland, Maryland, down to Mount Vernon. Along the multi-tiered riverbank, a labyrinth offers space for quiet contemplation alongside wide routes built for everyday recreation. A designated pathway for cyclists, skaters, and pedestrians traces the shore, opening direct sightlines to Theodore Roosevelt Island and the steady movement of kayakers, leisure boaters, and competitive crew teams on the river.
