Description

Completed in 2011, the riverfront stretch extends from 31st Street NW to the Key Bridge, where it links 225 miles of parkland stretching from Cumberland, Maryland, to Mount Vernon, Virginia. Broad accessible routes and designated pathways for cyclists, skaters, and pedestrians support both quiet contemplation and exercise, oriented toward a seasonal fountain, Theodore Roosevelt Island, and open views of boaters, kayakers, and competitive crews.
