Garfield Square Park & Recreation Center

Inside the pool building, Favianna Rodriguez’s 113-foot glass mural depicts a mother, children, and a paletero alongside the restored 1980 Primal Sea diptych mural by Precita Eyes Muralists’ Yano Rivera. A shared lobby connects swimmers to the 2021-renovated clubhouse, which holds an expanded kitchen and playroom. Outside, a courtyard links the facilities to an athletic field, areas for passive recreation, and new basketball courts beside a children’s splashpad.
