Description

The space traces its roots back to when Annie and John Thompson and their neighbors founded the site alongside Annie's Garden. What began as a collaborative neighborhood project was secured as permanent NYC parkland in 1998. Over the decades, a succession of dedicated individuals and organizations have maintained the grounds, preserving a pocket of quiet where it is easy to forget you are in the middle of Brooklyn.
