Galewood Park
4.1 (76)park
4.1 (76)A welcoming Austin park with sports courts, a spray playground, and a fieldhouse full of neighborhood programs.
Description
Set on 2.30 acres in the Austin neighborhood, the grounds make room for a quarter-mile walking path, a repaved picnic area, a softball diamond, a combination football-soccer field, and a volleyball court. Inside the small fieldhouse, programming ranges from dance classes and teen or senior clubs to adult kickboxing and aerobics.
Much of the lineup centers on youth ages 6 to 12, with activities like tumbling, Homework Time, and seasonal drop-in camps. Warmer months add teen leadership camps and basketball leagues, capped off later in the year by an annual Halloween party.
