Description
The Grande Galerie—now known as the Galerie des Glaces—was designed by Jules Hardouin-Mansart starting in 1678 and completed in 1684, replacing a terrace that opened onto the garden. Its name comes from the seventeen arcades of mirrors, edged with gilded and chased copper, set opposite the seventeen matching windows.
