From Orchestra Seats to Late-Night Bars
Live performance anchors a Philadelphia date night, pairing The Philadelphia Orchestra’s home with an intimate upstairs stage, South Street’s punk lineage, full-service dining, cocktails, and Saturday DJ sessions across the evening.
Philadelphia Stage Circuit
A South Street Legacy
Live indie, punk, and metal sets share the calendar with Saturday DJ sessions. At the bar, old fashioneds sit alongside a ginger beer and honey drink, while weekday happy hour includes drafts, well drinks, and signature cocktails through 7:00 PM.
This venue opens at 3:00 PM on weekdays and 11:00 AM on weekends, then stays open until 2:00 AM every night. Nirvana played here in 1989, adding rock history to the evening.

Broad Street's Orchestral Anchor
Inside the Kimmel Center, the 2,500-seat auditorium is the main home of The Philadelphia Orchestra. Designed by Rafael Viñoly and opened in 2001, it was formerly Verizon Hall. A 2024 rededication honored contralto and civil rights icon Marian Anderson. The Fred J. Cooper Memorial Organ anchors the stage. Programs range from classical repertoire to major touring concerts and film-with-live-orchestra presentations across the performing arts calendar.

Meals Below, Performances Above
At 1100 Chestnut Street, the ground floor serves breakfast, lunch, dinner, and late-night drinks from a full-service bar. Upstairs, an intimate stage hosts live music, comedy, and private events. Entry to the restaurant and bar is free. Concerts and events upstairs require separate ticket purchases. Weekday hours begin at 7:00 AM, weekend hours at 11:00 AM. Both levels remain open until 2:00 AM every day of the week.
