A Waikiki Turtle Canyon Snorkel Adventure on Oahu
Turtle Canyon is a cleaning station. Green sea turtles come up from deeper water so reef fish can pick the algae off their shells, and the boat holds over that patch for the water half of a two-hour charter. The captains and crew are certified divers and lifeguards. There is a swim step for people who do not swim.
Turtle Canyon is a cleaning station. That is a patch of shallow reef where green sea turtles come up from deeper water and hold still while reef fish pick the algae off their shells. Charter Oahu puts it plainly on its own page: the many large green sea turtles come from deeper waters to visit the shallower turtle cleaning station.
So the turtles are not passing through. They have a reason to be on that reef, and a reason to stay on it while you are in the water above them.
The listed points of interest on this route are Waikiki Beach, Waikiki, and Diamond Head State Monument, which tells you how close in the reef sits. Two hours, start to finish.

Departures leave from Slip B5 in Kewalo Basin, on Ala Moana Boulevard in Honolulu. The schedule runs seven days a week with six departure slots, the first at 8am and the last at 3pm. Confirmation is instant and booking stays open up to departure time.
The operator wants you at the pier fifteen minutes before your charter time, not at it.
Waikiki: Turtle Canyon Snorkel Adventure on OahuTwo hours out of Kewalo Basin with snorkel gear, flotation devices, snacks, and carbonated beverages included. Departures run daily from 8am to 3pm. Hotel transfers and harbor parking are not included.www.viator.comThe Crew Are Divers and Lifeguards

Charter Oahu's own page says its captains and crew are certified divers, lifeguards, free divers and surfers who are experts in these waters. The product record says the same thing a second way: guidance comes from certified divers, lifeguards, and experienced local watermen. On a reef where the whole point is that the animals stay put, that is worth more than it sounds.
Gear is included, and the operator names the brand: top of the line ScubaPro snorkel gear. Flotation devices come with it.
There is a swim step on the boat for people who do not swim. The listing goes further and calls the trip accessible for all skill levels and suitable for all physical fitness levels. If a snorkel trip has been off your list because you are not a strong swimmer, read that line twice and then ask the crew on the dock.
Boarding at Slip B5

Charter Oahu ties up at Slip B5 in Kewalo Basin, on Ala Moana Boulevard in Honolulu. Three sources name the same berth three ways. The operator's location page says Slip B5. Its sunset itinerary says the boat departs Kewalo Harbor, slip B. The product record calls it Pier B.
Parking at the basin is paid and sits outside the ticket price. The product record quotes an hourly rate in two separate fields and the two figures do not match, so budget for the higher one. Charter Oahu's own site confirms that parking is paid and stops there without naming a rate.
There is no hotel pickup and no drop-off. You get yourself to the slip.
Who Can Get In the Water
Tickets come in three age bands: child from three to eleven, youth from twelve to seventeen, adult from eighteen up. No infant fare is listed, and every booking needs at least one adult on it.
The listing also says infants are required to sit on an adult's lap, but it does not say how a child under three is booked or whether one pays. If you are bringing a baby, check with the operator before you book.
On crowding, two numbers exist and they measure different things. A shared departure is capped at twenty travelers on the booking side. Charter Oahu, on its private charter page, rates the same vessel as licensed to carry up to thirty passengers.
What Comes Aboard, and What You Bring
Included: snorkel gear, flotation devices, snacks, and carbonated beverages. Floating platforms go in the water off the boat if you would rather lie on the surface than swim down.
Not included: alcohol. This is a BYOB boat, which means it will not sell you a drink and will not stop you bringing your own.
Bring a valid photo ID. Bring a swimsuit, a towel, and sunscreen. There is music on board with open Bluetooth access, so the playlist is negotiable.
Cancel at least twenty-four hours before departure and the refund is full. Inside that window the booking is spent. Since confirmation is instant and the booking window stays open right up to departure, a late call on the forecast is a real option here.
Then it is two hours over a patch of reef that turtles visit on purpose, with a crew who can tell you which one has been coming back for years. The ride in puts you ashore at Kewalo Basin in the middle of Honolulu with the rest of the day still ahead of you.
