From Golden to Red Rocks and Dinosaur Ridge by E-Bike
A guided ride where the motor handles the climbs: through Morrison, up into Red Rocks, then dinosaur tracks on foot.
The ride starts in Golden, rolls through the small town of Morrison, then climbs to the top of Red Rocks Amphitheatre for the views and some of the venue's history. Dinosaur Ridge comes next, where you get off the bike and walk alongside fossilized dinosaur tracks set in the rock.
The listing puts the standard route at about 20 miles and three hours, and says the distance moves with the group's pace and the time spent at each stop. One May 2025 group rode a bit over 16 miles; an August 2026 rider covered 22. When a group is moving well, the guide can stretch the ride through Golden, past the Jefferson County Courthouse, Fossil Trace Golf Club and the Lakota Hills neighborhood, and sometimes further into Bear Creek Lake Park.

As of October 16, 2026, booking alone costs USD 135; two to four riders on one booking pay USD 125 each, and five to eight pay USD 115 each. A child place for ages 9 to 11 is USD 90, limited to one per booking. Sales close two hours before the start, and cancelling at least 24 hours ahead gets a full refund.
Red Rocks and Dinosaur Ridge on EbikesGuided e-bike ride from Golden through Morrison, Red Rocks Amphitheatre and Dinosaur Ridge, about 20 miles in about 3 hours, with water, snacks and a helmet included.www.viator.comTake the 9:30 Start If the Amphitheatre Matters

Both departures, 9:30 AM and 1:30 PM, run the same route, and Red Rocks comes first. The variable is the concert calendar. Red Rocks says that on concert days the amphitheatre usually closes to the public around 2 p.m. for sound checks, and that it may close at any time on a show day. The listing's note gives a later window: it says the amphitheatre sometimes closes between 2:30 and 3:30 p.m., and that the afternoon group often gets there first because Red Rocks is the first stop. When it does not, you still ride the roads and take in the views around the rocks, but may not get inside the amphitheatre.
The concert season runs from March through November; check the Red Rocks event calendar for your date before picking the afternoon departure. Admission to the park is free, and riders mention a stop at the Red Rocks souvenir shop to buy drinks and use the restrooms.
Dinosaur Ridge Is a Road Closed to Cars

Dinosaur Ridge Trail is a paved section of West Alameda Parkway, open to walkers and cyclists and closed to public motor traffic. At the tracksites the listing has you off the bike and on foot, walking alongside the fossilized footprints. Dinosaur Ridge asks people on foot to keep to the inside lane, on the mountain side, and stay out of the outside bicycle lane. The site counts more than 300 fossil tracks and more than 15 signed fossil and geology stops. West Alameda Parkway was finished in 1937, and the road cut into the Dakota Hogback uncovered more rock layers with dinosaur and crocodile footprints.
Between the stops, riders describe mostly paved bike paths with a few busier roads to cross, where the guide keeps the group together. One September 2026 rider said the last stretch was all bike path, with prairie dogs along the way.
Who the Bikes Are Sized For
The smallest bike fits riders from about 4 feet 8 inches, depending on leg length, and every other bike is sized for 5 feet and up. The booking page sells child places for ages 9 to 11 and adult places for ages 12 to 75, and each booking needs an adult. The listing asks for at least moderate fitness, says the e-bikes cannot easily take a rider over 300 pounds uphill, and does not recommend the ride for pregnant travelers or for anyone with a spinal injury or poor cardiovascular health.
First-time e-bike riders are common in the reviews. Several describe a walk-through and a short test ride in the parking lot before setting off, a 6-foot-2 rider wrote that the bike fit comfortably, and one August 2026 rider put the bikes at around 70 pounds.
Getting to a Dirt Lot in Golden
The meeting point is a dirt parking lot across from the storage building where the bikes are kept, and the listing's map pin sits at 4 Zeta Street, Golden. The listing adds that the lot is across from Wrigley's Chicago Bar & Grill. There is no hotel pickup: replying to an August 2026 review, the operator said pickups stopped because, between bike maintenance and riders in different locations, it was too much. By the operator's estimate a rideshare costs about USD 30 each way, and the train from downtown Denver to Golden stops about a mile from the lot. Riders mention the guide texting instructions before the ride.
Amazing Adventures is Jeremy Jenkin's company. Its website calls him the founder and lead guide, an army veteran who cycled about 18,000 miles across Asia, the Middle East and parts of Africa and South America, then ran bike and hiking tours in China before returning to Colorado in 2022. Most reviews that name a guide name Jeremy; one September 2026 rider rode with a guide named Rodney.
Bottled water, snacks, a helmet and pannier bags on the bike come with the ride. Bring sunglasses; the operator says they help anywhere in sunny Colorado, and on an e-bike most of all. The listing can call off a departure for poor weather or too few riders. Then it is up into the red rocks, with the motor doing most of the work.
