From a St. Claude Coffee Shop to Banksy's Umbrella Girl
A guided street-art walk up St. Claude Avenue, from the Bywater to the French Quarter's edge, with the stories behind the walls.
The walk starts on the sidewalk outside St. Coffee, a café at 2718 St. Claude Avenue in the Bywater, and heads through the 9th, 8th and 7th Wards toward the French Quarter. The booking page puts it at two hours to two hours and twenty minutes, with a guide talking through the murals, mosaics and graffiti along the way.

Tickets are sold per person in three age bands: adults from 13, children 6 to 12, and children 1 to 5, who come along at no charge. An adult has to be on every booking. The only inclusion the listing names is artist information after the tour, and tips for the guide are extra.

The booking page splits the route into four stretches. About 45 minutes go to the Bywater streets near the start. Next come 20 minutes in the St. Roch area, with one work to interpret and a market break, then 45 minutes in the Faubourg Marigny, where the listing names mosaic work by the artist Laurel True and a short stretch of road it says now holds more than two dozen public works. The last 20 minutes are for one of Banksy's remaining works in the city, at the edge of the French Quarter.
The Banksy is the final stop, and a late storm can take it off the route. One traveler in October 2024 lost the last few murals, the Banksy among them, to a downpour. The listing also notes that a departure can be called off for bad weather.
The Break Is at a Market That Opened in 1875

Partway through, the group stops at St. Roch Market, 2381 St. Claude Avenue. By the market's own account it opened on May 1, 1875, as an open-air public market at St. Roch and St. Claude avenues, was renovated in 1937 and 1938 during the Works Progress Administration era, and reopened as a food hall in 2015.
The listing describes the stop as a short break with snacks, drinks including craft cocktails, beer and wine, cold water and clean bathrooms. Anything you buy there is on you, and the whole St. Roch stretch is budgeted at 20 minutes. A 2024 traveler wished there had been time for a light lunch. Two other travelers had breakfast at St. Coffee before the start.
Small Groups, Sometimes a Group of One
The listing sells up to sixteen seats on a shared departure and up to fifteen on a single booking. Its settings do not cancel a departure for low numbers, and two travelers in 2026 found themselves the only guest and still got the walk, one-on-one.
Reviews from 2025 and 2026 name several different guides; whoever is on the schedule leads your departure. What those reviews share is a guide who knows the artists and the story behind each piece, and two recent reviewers also came away with New Orleans music history, one of them along Rampart Street. Gratuities are not included in the ticket. One 2026 reviewer's parting advice was to leave a tip.
Two Departures a Day, Six Days a Week
As of October 13, 2026, the booking calendar showed two departures a day, 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM, on every day except Wednesday, with dates loaded through May 31, 2027. Times shift by season: a traveler reviewing in July 2026 describes a 9:00 AM tour. Go by the time on your confirmation. Summer reviewers warn about the heat, and one suggested a small umbrella for shade.
The listing ticks boxes for wheelchair and stroller access. Travelers describe the walk differently. A 2025 traveler wrote: "Might be hard with littles or anyone with mobility issues as it's a walking tour on New Orleans streets." A 2019 reviewer warned that "some of the pavement isn't great." Note any wheelchair or stroller need in the booking's special-requirements field. Cancelling at least 24 hours ahead brings a full refund if the answer doesn't work for you.
📍 Meet out front of St. Coffee, 2718 St. Claude Avenue, at your departure time. The walk finishes on North Rampart Street, across from a corner shop the listing calls The Orange Store and, by the listing's account, a block from the French Quarter. The finish is a different corner from the café where the walk began; plan your ride back from Rampart. Then stay a minute with the girl under the umbrella after the group breaks up.
