From a Sparks Mall Door Into a Foggy Jungle Temple

A jungle-temple escape room in the Legends mall: fog, low light, carved masks, and a game master on hints for the hour.

Step into a foggy jungle temple room in Sparks.

Legend of the Lost Temple is one of the themed rooms Key and Code Escape Rooms runs in Sparks, and it sits in the company's storefront facing the IMAX theater at the Legends mall. The story is a temple older than memory, its walls carved with masks, and an emerald the operator calls the Heart of the Jungle hidden somewhere inside. Your team gets 60 minutes to work the puzzles and claim it.

Every game is private. Only your group goes into the room, never strangers. The operator credits the set to Red Thread Studio.

The booking below covers this one room at the B-103 storefront. It is priced per player, and every player signs a waiver before the game starts.

Fog, Low Light and an Emerald to Claim

The temple has guardians, and the brief is to outwit them before the emerald slips away. The operator lists the room's conditions plainly. Expect darkness or low light, fog or haze, lighting effects, a water mister and confined spaces. Its room page also asks for light physical agility.

The puzzles mix logic, observation and teamwork. A game master monitors the room for safety and hints, and the operator tells teams not to hesitate to ask for help. Nothing needs force to open. The operator rates the room 3 out of 5 for difficulty, puts its escape rate at 51 percent, and calls the theme non-scary and suited to families.

Suite B-103, Across From the IMAX

Key and Code runs two storefronts in the Legends mall, and they are easy to mix up. The other one, at 1420 Scheels Drive, Suite E-108, is a separate site. This room is at 1180 Scheels Drive, Suite B-103, across from the IMAX movie theater. The listing places the door just down from the Scheels store.

The operator's booking confirmation notes free parking nearby and tells guests to double-check which location they are heading to before they leave.

Three Players Minimum, Kids With an Adult

On Viator the room is sold per player. A booking needs at least three players aged 7 and up at USD 32 each, which puts the smallest booking at USD 96. The listing caps a booking at eight people and lists children aged 1 to 6 at no charge.

The operator's own age rules sit on top of that. It suggests players be 10 or older, requires anyone 13 or younger to come with an adult, and asks for a parent or guardian to sign the waiver of every player under 18. Every player signs a waiver, children included. The operator says the waiver link comes in its confirmation and reminder messages, for sharing with the whole group.

Both the listing's room description and the operator's page say the room is not wheelchair accessible. The listing's checklist also marks it suitable for all physical fitness levels. Go by the operator, which runs the room and lists confined spaces and light physical agility. Its room page describes play as walking, bending and searching, with no climbing or heavy lifting.

Lockers First, Then Sixty Minutes

Plan on 70 minutes at the storefront: 10 to check in and hear the briefing, then 60 in the room. Arrive at your booking time. If your group is more than 10 minutes late, the operator can shorten the 60 minutes, and missed time is not refunded.

Personal items go into lockers in the lobby before the game. Phones, flashlights and outside tools stay out of play, and photos inside the room are off-limits, though staff will take a quick picture of your group in the room at the end. The operator suggests two things to bring: reading glasses for clues that involve reading text, and a sweater for rooms that can run chilly.

Cancel at least 24 hours before your start time for a full refund through Viator. Inside 24 hours there is no refund.

The one traveler review on the listing so far says the room certainly made the group think. When the hour is up, the IMAX is right across the way.
