Description

Located off E. Ponce de Leon Avenue in Clarkston, the site was designated in 2002 for passive outdoor activities and wetland protection, then formally established as a bird sanctuary in 2004 to shelter local wildlife. Following the Friendship Forest Master Plan, additions like interpretive signage, a pavilion, and upgraded restrooms support low-key visits around the enhanced wetland habitats.
