Friends of The Paragon Carousel
attraction
$250.00 – $450.00
The last remnant of Paragon Park, this 1928 carousel still spins on Nantasket Beach with 66 hand-carved wooden horses.
Description

Built by the Philadelphia Toboggan Company (PTC #85), the ride is one of fewer than 100 grand carousels remaining in the United States. Beyond the mounts, the woodwork features two rare Roman chariots, thirty-six cherubs, eighteen goddesses, and thirty-five original paintings kept up by the Friends organization. Accompanied by the music of an authentic band organ, riders can still try to catch the ring as the figures rise and fall.
